Tanner Owen

Drawn to the culture and emphasis on teamwork, Tanner joined Renaissance Financial to assist those around him develop personal financial strategies. He was also drawn to Renaissance Financial’s unique advisor development program as it gives him the support and confidence to grow his own business. Eager to assist all clients, Tanner has a special tie to business owners, entrepreneurs, athletes, and teachers as he has been influenced by people in those roles.  

Tanner attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics. A dedicated student-athlete, Tanner played collegiate golf during his time at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was voted onto the board of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) as Nebraska’s Big Ten Representative. In this role, he served as an intermediary voice between student-athletes and senior administration. Tanner was also the recipient of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award in 2020, a NCAA Academic All-American, and was selected as a Tom Osborne Citizenship Team member, which recognizes student-athletes involved in community service/leadership projects in the academic calendar year and that remain in good academic standing. 

He holds his Life, Accident, and Health Insurance Agent license as well as his FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 registrations.  

Tanner was born and raised in Parkville, MO, a city located north of Kansas City, MO. When he is not in the office, Tanner enjoys giving back and has been involved with Camp Courageous, a camp designed specifically for those with special needs, and other organizations that work with underprivileged youth within the Kansas City community. He also enjoys spending time with family and recently taught himself how to play guitar.
