Since 2006, Tom Whiteing has built a successful practice at Renaissance Financial through his dedication to serving others and his commitment to helping clients achieve financial freedom. Tom originally intended to enter the medical field after graduation from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Through researching the financial services industry, he discovered that his passion for helping others translated well to this service-based profession. He enjoys helping medical professionals, business owners and members of the agricultural community position themselves for financial success.
Tom has earned numerous recognitions and awards for his work. He is a five-time qualifying member of Million Dollar Round Table*, The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®. MDRT is a global, independent association of more than 43,000 of the world’s life insurance and financial services professionals from more than 500 companies in 67 countries. For his sales performance, Renaissance named Tom Developing Advisor of the Year** in 2008. Securian Financial Services made him a Foundation Club** member in 2008, Focus Club** member in 2009, Pinnacle Club** member in 2010, and he was a four-time qualifier for their biennial National Sales Convention. Tom was also honored with the Excellence in Performance Award** from Securian in 2009 and 2010, which highlights new advisors for their production achievements. He helped build a successful team in the Kansas City office, earning Securian’s Gold Managing Director of the Year** honor in 2013, which recognizes outstanding managing directors, field directors and recruiters who play a vital role in the growth of their firms. As the Field Director in the Omaha office, Tom achieved the Silver Field Director of the Year** award in 2016 and the Gold** level of that award in 2017. In 2018, Tom became an honoree for the 40 Under 40 award** from the Midlands Business Journal, a recognition saluting his outstanding success.
Tom is an avid hunter and fisherman and is also actively engaged in serving his community. Tom was named as a member of the Leadership Nebraska Program in 2015, which consists of 28 members and focuses on strengthening their knowledge of the economic and political challenges and opportunities in the Nebraska area. He has served as Chairman for the Omaha Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, sat on the Board of Directors for FarmHouse Fraternity’s Nebraska Chapter, and was an Omaha Charter Member for Rotaract. Along with participating in many charity events, such as the Polar Plunge, the Ronald McDonald House, and the Nebraska Medical Center, Tom currently holds positions across several organizations. He is a patron of the Nebraska Medicine Child Life Department, the Children’s Hospital Hope Gala, and The Brian Duensing Foundation. He is also a part of the State Campaign Committee and the Hope Brews Committee for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Tom resides in Elkhorn with his wife, Kelli, and their sons, Jake, Matt and Sam.

In her previous roles as client service representative at Lutz Financial Services and administrative assistant at Morrissey Engineering, Julia managed multiple responsibilities with attention to detail and a focus on facilitating client success. She has volunteered for numerous organizations and serves as President of the Parents Club for the Alpha Phi International Fraternity.
Julia received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior architecture from the School of the Art Institute Museum of Chicago. A Chicago native, she moved to Omaha with her family fifteen years ago. Julia and her husband have been married for over 28 years and have six children.
