Sara’s enthusiasm for listening carefully to clients’ individual needs has motivated her throughout her career and is what drew her to Renaissance Financial. In fact, Sara was previously a client where she was deeply impressed by the way the collaborative nature of the firm allowed for matching specific client objectives with creative and successful advisors. Having been on the other side of the advisor/client relationship, Sara understands first-hand the value of the team approach and its success in serving the distinct needs of its clients.
In her prior position at prominent St. Louis family law firms: Green, Cordonnier & House, LLP and Keefe & Brodie, Sara supported individuals through the complicated process of divorce and subsequent asset division. While assisting clients in clarifying assets and liabilities to create a figure of total net worth, Sara built and maintained relationships of openness and trust. This relationship-focused approach is the foundation for Sara’s work as a financial advisor. Whether at the beginning of funding and planning for a brighter future, continuing to build wealth, or looking to maximize assets during retirement, Sara appreciates the opportunity to work with individuals at many stages. Sara also enjoys working with couples and young professionals who have a vision for their future, from attorneys to healthcare professionals to business owners. She advises both men and women during the financial transitions of divorce and feels her passion for getting to know people and their dreams enables her to form a partnership with them that truly contributes to financial achievement and success.
With her emphasis on the human component of finance, it is not surprising that Sara studied psychology in school, first as an undergraduate at Drury University where she graduated cum laude, and then at Webster University where she graduated with honors with a Master of Arts in counseling and psychology. While at Drury, Sara was selected to be a part of the Drury University Student Ambassadors and Psi Chi Honor Society. A member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, Sara was awarded best new member and best active member and continues to stay involved. Sara has attained her Missouri Life and Health Agent license, and her Series 7 and Series 66 registrations.
Being of service to others has long been a focus for Sara. She has been an advocate for Kids in the Middle, an organization that helps children and families cope through divorce. Since 2009, she has been a part of the organization’s planning committee for the annual gala and wine tasting events. She is also a charter member of Kids in the Middle’s young professionals group and is a part of the St. Louis Regional Business Council’s Young Professionals Network.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Sara now resides in Arnold, Missouri with her husband, Adam and their daughter, Vivien. They enjoy spending time on their patio and visiting Forest Park where they were married every chance they get. As an avid St. Louis sports fan, Sara and can frequently be found cheering on the Cardinals and the Blues.
