After witnessing the impact that the great financial crisis of 2008 had on his family and friends as a college freshman, Charlie Ferretti decided to start learning more about the investment world so that he could help those close to him navigate severe levels of market uncertainty. It was in pursuit of that goal that Charlie began to intern at various financial institutions during the summers, trying to figure out which organization would allow him to best build his practice and protect his clients’ assets. Eventually he found a home at Renaissance, joining the firm’s St. Louis office as a financial advisor in 2012, where he quickly distinguished himself through both his investment acumen and the dedicated support that he offered to each and every person he worked with. 

One of the things that attracted Charlie to Renaissance was the company’s collaborative culture and team centric approach. It’s with this in mind that he decided to take the next step in his career by becoming a Vice President of Advisor Development and the head of the firm’s recently opened Salt Lake City office. In this position, Charlie has been tasked with mentoring a team of young advisors and helping Renaissance to expand its reach into a new portion of the country. This is a challenge Charlie relishes, as he seeks to build on his decade-plus of enduring service by helping Renaissance to connect with a broader subset of clients and training newly hired advisors and staff members on the firm’s financial advising approach. 

A graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in finance, Charlie has gone on to earn his Series 7 and Series 66 registrations and Life and Health Insurance designation. During his tenure as an advisor Charlie has worked with a diverse group of clients, but he especially enjoys assisting business owners, families, and executives working in the technology sector in cultivating personally-tailored financial plans and retirement strategies capable of helping them to reach their unique objectives. Charlie is passionate about advocating for his clients in all areas of finance and asset management, and utilizes a wide variety of investment tools to provide everyone he collaborates with the options they need to help secure their financial futures long-term. 

Originally from St. Louis, Charlie stayed active in his hometown as a member of the Missouri Athletic Club and the Chaminade College Prep board. Since relocating to Salt Lake City he has continued his volunteer work with the American Cancer Society, while also taking advantage of every opportunity he can find to explore his new home state. When he’s not in the office you can find him on a golf course, or spending quality time with his wife Maggie and his children Bella and Rhodes.
