Jack Pothast became acquainted with Renaissance Financial after serving as an intern, where he witnessed firsthand the firm’s commitment to serving its clients. During that summer, Jack developed a deep appreciation for the company’s culture, which has only grown now that he has become an advisor and fully immersed himself in Renaissance’s team centric and creative approach to providing customized financial plans for the businesses and individuals that it works with.

The son of two educators, Jack collaborates with a variety of clients, but especially enjoys helping teachers and administrators in their financial journey given his familiarity with their lifestyle. A graduate of Northern Arizona University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration and certificates in Investments and Corporate Financial Management, Jack’s educational background heavily emphasized portfolio management, which gives him great insight into how to construct and manage a diverse and stable investment portfolio for his clients. Jack also takes pride in helping young professionals and pre-retirees in formulating their investment roadmaps, as he finds it exciting and fulfilling to help clients to either get out of the financial starting gate, or to cross the finish line into retirement.

A former commercial fisherman in Alaska, Jack loves hiking, fishing, hunting, biking, and all things outdoors. He grew up in Soldotna, Alaska with his mom, dad, and sister, and currently resides in Phoenix.
