Nick Richie

Nick Richie comes to Renaissance Financial after a long tenure in professional sports, where he spent seven years as an employee of the Kansas City Royals. Most recently, Nick served as the Senior Manager of Team Travel and Clubhouse Operations for the Royals front office for four years, where he contributed to the club’s logistical and travel planning operations during both spring training and the regular season, while also creating and updating monthly financial forecasts, a task which allowed him to cultivate planning and investment skills that are directly applicable to his new field.

Accomplished academically, Nick earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Missouri and an MBA from UMKC with an emphasis in finance, which he has since supplemented by completing his Life, Accident and Health, Series 7, and Series 66 registrations. Nick chose to work at Renaissance due to the firm’s collaborative and supportive culture, as well as to fulfill his desire to be a part of an organization that strives to help others in securing their financial futures. As he seeks to build his client base, Nick is eager to work with a wide variety of individuals and businesses, but especially assisting young professionals, families, and entrepreneurs in crafting investment strategies that will help them to meet their specific financial goals.

A native of Smithville, MO, Nick still lives in his hometown and stays active in his community through his volunteer work with the Harvester Food Bank, and as a part of the Mizzou Alumni Association for Kansas City and St. Joseph and the Smithville Chamber of Commerce. A diehard sports fan, Nick served as a bat boy in the 2015 World Series and spends his free time golfing, cooking, and traveling to football stadiums across the country to watch his beloved Missouri Tigers and Kansas City Chiefs.
