Justin Hughes’ extensive education in investment management and finance allows him to bring a technical layer to the financial analysis process.

Justin was drawn to the firm because of its team-oriented approach. He is passionate about delivering comprehensive strategies that are tailored to meet the investment needs of individuals and families, and the collaborative nature of the firm helps him do just that.

Justin was previously the men’s soccer assistant coach at Creighton University for five seasons after playing three seasons with the Colorado Rapids of the MLS. He was drafted in the MLS after a playing career at the men’s soccer team at the University of North Carolina.

Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Justin earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MBA and Master of Investment Management and Financial Analysis (MIMFA) from Creighton University. He possesses the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation and is an active member in the CFA Society of Nebraska. Justin also holds his Life and Health Insurance license, and FINRA Series 7, and Series 66 registrations.

Justin currently resides in Omaha with his wife, Natalie, and their two daughters, Luca and Lennon. He enjoys traveling and is an avid fan of soccer, skiing and fitness. He stays involved in the game of soccer through coaching and clinics with area youth players. Justin was the recipient of the 2019 Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce’s Chairman’s Excellence award* and chaired the organization’s Engagement Council from 2017-2020. He is also a board member for the Nebraska State Soccer Association as well as Football for the World.

Justin is a registered representative and investment advisor representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc.
