While attending the University of Missouri-Columbia, Shannon graduated cum laude and earned a degree in Agricultural Economics with a minor in Personal Financial Planning. As a former member of Alpha Gamma Rho, he is currently the Chairman for the annual Memorial Scholarship/Alumni Golf Tournament. Beyond the classroom, he spent his time as an intern at UMB Bank and FCS Financial. This, coupled with working as an office manager for Weber Brothers Farm, solidified the path for his profession. He has since attained his Life Accident and Health Insurance License, as well as FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations. He is also a 2013 member of Securian Financial Services Focus Club* which recognizes new financial professionals for their hard work and dedication to their business.

Shannon knows the importance of community involvement and enjoys giving back to the place he calls home. He is the President of the HavenHouse Young Professionals Board, an organization that provides the comforts of home and a community of support for those traveling to St. Louis for medical care. Additionally, he sits on the St. Charles County Board for Missouri Farm Bureau, serves as secretary for the board of directors for the St. Louis Agri-business Club, serves on the LaunchU Committee for Launch St. Louis, and is active with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri. In his spare time, Shannon enjoys traveling and playing golf.
