James Schier, CFS®

James’ creative energy and appreciation for team work make him a dynamic member of Renaissance Financial. He enjoys working with small businesses and young married couples. As a newlywed himself, James enjoys helping his clients navigate through life changes. He also focuses on helping those approaching retirement and retirees achieve financial sense of security.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from St. Louis University, where he was President of the St. Louis Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma. James holds his Life Accident and Health Insurance Agent License, as well as FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations.

Prior to joining Renaissance Financial, James worked at Dinan Real Estate, where he assisted in the writing and production of appraisal reports and collected and analyzed data regarding local and regional economies.

In addition to taking leadership roles in organizations like Sigma Tau Gamma, James volunteers for the Jesuits USA Central Province. He also a member of the finance committee for the City Garden Montessori School. James grew up in Kansas City and still travels back frequently to meet with clients and visit his family. Now a resident of Kirkwood, James lives with his wife, Allie and their two dogs, Odin and Olive. He is especially passionate about sports—Cardinals baseball in particular—and loves reading about baseball analytics and statistics.
