Welcome to Charitable Giving Kansas City (CGKC)!

CGKC is the charitable giving education program created by Bill Eckert CAP®, Senior Financial Advisor at Renaissance Financial Corporation.

CGKC is a culmination of the resources and experience that Bill has built up in the past 10+ years working extensively with nonprofits and learning more about the critical needs they face. CGKC will feature a wide breadth of educational information and programming for nonprofits and their donors alike. Through CGKC you will find educational resources, examples, and programing that help nonprofits and donors to make intelligent charitable and planned giving decisions.

Bill has always had a warm place in his heart for working with nonprofits. As a young financial professional, Bill began to realize how uneducated individuals were on how they could leverage their finances to support their favorite nonprofit organizations, their families, and their own dreams. As Bill cultivated the charitable and planned giving element into his own financial planning practice, he realized that many nonprofit professionals also did not understand the intricacies of planned giving and how different strategies could be utilized to help benefit their donors. Thus began Bill’s quest to provide the education to nonprofits and individual’s alike to help them in their financial strategies so that they are more fully able to understand their giving options. Bill is also a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy which provides him an in-depth knowledge of the entire philanthropic planning process, including, but not limited to, estate and trust documents, taxation, accounting, insurance, and investments tools to help clients articulate and advance their highest aspirations for self, family, and society. This is a graduate level program offered at the American College and is part of a Master’s of Science in Financial Services degree.
