Rich began his career with Mutual of Omaha in 1984 as a sales representative, after serving in the United States Navy and attending Fremont High School and Midland Lutheran College. In 1989, he was promoted to District Sales Manager and in 1990 became a Senior Training consultant. In 1991, Rich returned to his first love as a sales representative and in February 2001 became an associate at Renaissance Financial

Qualifying and Life member of the Million Dollar Round Table* and a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow. He is a member of the Lutheran Church of The Master and serves on the Advisory Council. Rich is a past President for NAIFA-NE, 2001-2002, a former board member of Nebraska Special Olympics, and served in numerous capacities for NSALU and Cystic Fibrosis.

Rich and his wife Linda have three grown children; Paul, Darrin and Traci.
