Community Involvement

Renaissance Financial enjoys giving back to the community and works with multiple organizations throughout the year. Below are a few of our recent projects.

Soaring Support(September 2011)

Renaissance Financial was delighted to be a sponsor of the Second Annual Disc Golf tournament for Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City. BBBSKC was recently named top agency in the country and we are proud to work with them and watch their program continue to grow. This fundraiser allowed our team to get out of the office and show our support by participating in some disc golf! We look forward to participating in this event again next year. To learn more about Big Brothers Big Sisters please go to their website at www.bbbskc.org.

Suits and Backpacks (March 2011)

Renaissance Financial is the proud home of 20 Mizzou graduates. Recently a few of these alumni helped support the Mizzou Business Career Services in one of their community events. By donating new and gently used suits for the BCS Suit Drive they were able to raise funds to support The Food Bank’s Buddy Pack Program. This program provides backpacks filled with kid-friendly, nutritious food that students take home over the weekend or holidays to supplement their meals when there is not enough for them to eat at home. To read more about this program please visit www.sharefoodbringhope.org.

Bowl For Fun (February 2011)

Every year the team at Renaissance laces up their bowling shoes and helps support Big Brothers Big Sisters. This is a great way to raise some money for an organization that has been pivotal in developing some life changing relationships for kids throughout the community. Through donations, online fundraising and a bake sale we were able to raise over $7,000 this year to support BBBS. We encourage you to read more about them at www.bbbsemo.org.

Long Road to Recovery (January 2011)

An update from Haiti: After the devastating earthquake rocked Haiti one year ago, Renaissance counted our blessings and banded together to raise almost $3,000 dollars to support their recovery efforts. The Mercy Corps continues to help the Haitian people in rebuilding and is helping lay the foundation for longer-term recovery and self-sufficiency. Go to www.mercycorps.org to learn more about their efforts.

Open Arms and Open Hearts (December 2010)

The Renaissance office in St. Louis continued their tradition of holiday giving by working with Angels’ Arms to provide Christmas gifts to two families (11 boys in total!) this year. Everything from a Basketball Hoop to Batman Shoes were wrapped and delivered to help both families celebrate the holidays! Angels’ Arms is an amazing organization that helps keep siblings together and they are greeted with open arms by their new families. We were happy to open hearts and help them out as well! To learn more about the organization visit www.angelsarms.org.

Dreams Really Do Come True (December 2010)

We donated two Build-A-Bears to some very special little girls to fulfill a “wish” through the Make-A-Wish foundation. They were also able to take the trip of a life-time to Disney and they took their bears from Renaissance along for the ride! Michelle Jaquess and Lindsey Kerber both work with the organization and were able to help us grant this wish! Visit www.wish.org to learn more about sharing the power of a wish.

Party Time (December 2010)

The Renaissance Foundation was proud to sponsor the Pediatric Party Fund for The Nebraska Medical Center again this past year. Each year the center throws a holiday party for the children who are hospital-bound and their families. This is often the highlight of the year for many of them, who may be celebrating their last holiday together. Renaissance is happy to help put smiles on their faces by funding this party.
